There is a mandala-like aspect to this work, swirling Scandinavian/Celtic motifs, infinity hints, lotus-posed central figure & display of otherworldly (or at least inner mind) and the grounded. Amazing how the symbols all intertwine but not in conflict and working together as a whole in supporting the central figure and his mind in harmony with the power of sound. 
The most interesting touch is that his back is shown rather than frontal which accentuates a sense of respect for his privacy, also the mask-caped animals above is a quirky humorous touch.
